The Director of Business Development is responsible for directing the company's global sales efforts and for creating and maintaining customer relationships to increase business and revenue.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territories and for managing the relationships with key accounts and maximizing all opportunities through those accounts.
Develops and fosters business relationships with all customers.
Works with senior management, operations, purchasing, logistics and sales teams both domestically and globally to recommend sales and marketing strategies and programs that will help achieve targeted growth, profit and market share relative to corporate goals and trends in the industry and economy.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum five years global sales experience required
Minimum ten years industry experience required
Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
